The New
RS 40 B1 X-ray Source

The RS 40B1 is a new,
high intensity twin anode X-ray source optimized for XPS experiments. Design
of the anode, filament and source housing guarantees maximum X-ray intensity
and very low cross-talk between the anode faces. A specially configured
nose cone allows maximum access to the sample.
-

The
X-ray inner housing is very efficiently water-cooled in order to reduce
the damage of the sample by
thermal effects during operation.
-
The
RS 40B1 has double high voltage protection. When the housing is open high
voltage can no to be switch on. The
housing is hermetically sealed.
